There are two local English newspapers: South China Morning Post (SCMP) and the Hong Kong Standard, the latter one being a free newspaper distributed on main streets.

There are four international newspapers printed in Hong Kong, with Asian editions. They are the Asian Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, USA Today, and the International Herald Tribune. Other available international papers are - The Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Sydney Morning Herald and Le Monde. At both the Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry and Central Star Ferry, there are news-stands that carry a wide selection of international newspapers and publications. Many of the local and international newspapers are also available at major hotels and bookstores.

There are 2 local television operators in Hong Kong, namely TVB and ATV. They both offer 1 Chinese channel and 1 English channel: TVB and Pearl (English), ATV and World (English). TV programmes are listed in daily newspapers or weekly publications. Apart from the free channels, they both venture into paid television services.

There are other subscription TV services available in Hong Kong. Cable TV services are provided by i-Cable, and broadband TV by Now.

Regional broadcasters based in Hong Kong include STAR TV, NBC, TBS and ESPN.

There are 13 radio channels, offering everything from Cantonese pop music to English news programmes.
