Population

The total population of Hong Kong has exceeded 7 million, approximately 3.4 million of whom reside on the Kowloon Peninsula and on the Hong Kong Island. Although much of the outlying islands and mountainous regions are unpopulated, Hong Kong´s population density is amongst the highest in the world.
