Driver's Licence

If you are planning to drive in Hong Kong on a foreign licence, you must get a valid Hong Kong driving licence. Please note that you can make an appointment before you go to the Transport Department:

• Apply for a full driving licence by direct issue with a test.
• Apply for a temporary driving licence
• Driving permit if they are visitors to Hong Kong (meaning that they do not plan to reside in Hong Kong for more than 12 months)
