Car Rental and Purchase

There are a number of motor agents providing new and used car purchase services, however, the following information is for your attention:

• Request the car registration documents; check the engine number and the ownership identification
  
  
• Pay the deposit and obtain a receipt for your records
  
  
• After confirmation, to purchase insurance you need to provide your insurer with information:
  • personal information
  • driver history
  • motor information, such as car age, car brand, model and capacity
  
  
• Payment settled
  
  
• Car title transfer
  
  
• The motor agents handle most of the above-mentioned procedures for their clients. However, you still need to pay attention on checking the car registration, ownership verification and agreement
  
  
• The transfer administration fee is HK$1,000, please remember to bring:
  
  • Signed transfer form by two parties
  • Original car registration. Annual fee ranges from HK$4,000 to HK$11,400 pending on capacity.
